Testimonials
For Curious Gardeners:
Curious Gardeners is incredible. Their open play model is structured around thoughtful, engaging educational themes that range from designing and building their own rocket ship for outer space to deep sea diving into the midnight zone. The teachers are patient, kind, and knowledgeable about early childhood development. They are great at encouraging kids to be the natural scientists they are. Preschoolers get their hands dirty growing their own food and preparing it for “Terrific Tasters”. The community, friendships, and problem-solving helped my preschooler be more than ready to take on Kindergarten, both socially and academically. We love Curious Gardeners!

Last week we said goodbye to the world’s greatest preschool. We thank our lucky stars that we got to be part of this community for so many years. Elsie spent her days playing, gardening, climbing, cooking, dancing, singing, exploring and just living her best life. There was so much love at this sweet little school, and it will always hold such a special place in our hearts.

Curious Gardeners was a perfect fit for our kids and their curious personalities. They spend much of their day outside – rain or shine – which is important for Portland! Both planting and harvesting, and just playing. The yard is filled with loose parts that encouraged open-ended, child-driven play. My two kids love the freedom to play how they want, with natural toys, and teachers who encourage imaginative and cooperative play. Curious Gardeners creates a community feel that we all love: the teachers truly care about our kids and we know they are loved and taken care of well. Both of my children have thrived at Curious Gardeners, and it shows in their love for vegetables at dinner, food prep, ability to play for hours in a park, and the respectful conversations they are able to have with each other and with other friends. I highly recommend Curious Gardeners!

For Our Founder, Teacher Carly:
Carly is an exceptional teacher- very patient, smart and kind with everyone. She worked as a Teacher at Little Seeds for over a year and did an incredible job – we are so lucky – I could not recommend her more if you’re looking for childcare in SE Portland. She is opening her school in September and to get in now is the absolute best time!”
~ Brittany Fasulo, Owner and Head Teacher at Little Seeds Farm School
Absolutely cannot emphasize enough how blessed a child would be to attend this preschool. Carly is GIFTED– like, sincerely has an innate ability to work with children in a way that Mr. Rogers would have been impressed by. If you know of a family in Portland looking for care: look no further! You will not find a more genuine, loving soul out there to care for your babies!”
~ Jo Marie Safier, Parent and Friend
I feel so incredibly fortunate that the people we’ve trusted to care for our kids at school are truly enriching their lives beyond measure. We’ve been so happy to have teacher Carly’s warm, calm influence and care and wish her nothing but the absolute best on her journey beginning her own preschool. If you’re in SE and looking for a fab new preschool, get in touch before she’s waitlisting! Thank you x100, Carly.”

We sincerely appreciate all you’ve done for our daughter this school year! You’ve been so warm, caring, and understanding and she adores you! You were such a positive part of her tough transition to preschool and we are so thankful for you! We will always remember our daughter showing us her yoga moves she learned from you! We wish you all the best on your new adventure and you’ll be greatly missed!”
